CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION - GALENA PARK,TEXAS
THE CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION IS:
Why not check God and His Assembly out this Sunday here at the Church of the Resurrection located at 1605 Holland Avenue, Galena Park, Texas. Our Sunday Bible Study starts at 9:30am and the Worship/Teaching Assembly begins at 10:30am.
We subscribe to the “Faith once and for all delivered to the saints” as revealed in the Pauline Epistles (Romans-Philemon) addressed to the Body of Christ, His Church. We are a Mid-Acts 9, Dispensational, Free Grace, Free Faith, Bible Based, Christ- in-the-Heavenlies-Centered, Independent local Assembly.
We are not denominational or nondenominational rather preferring to be called a Mid-Acts 9, Dispensational, Free Grace, Free Faith, Bible Based, Christ in the Heavenlies Centered, Independent local Assembly whose doctrinal foundation is based on Pauline Epistles and the Reformation Cry of "Scripture Alone", "Faith Alone", "Christ Alone", "Grace Alone" and "Glory to God Alone".
This local Assembly firmly believes that "in Christ there is neither male nor female, Jew nor Gentile, neither bond or free" and therefore is multicultural and multiracial in outreach. We are inclusive in our worship language when addressing persons (we refer to all three members of the Trinity in masculine terms) and both women and men share in the full ministry (we do not ordain or recognize women as Senior Pastors). We welcome all to celebrate eternal life and the abundant life with us. We Exalt the Savior, Edify the Saint, Equip the Soldier and Evangelize the Sinner.
Our Assembly is seeking saints with Christ-filled Hearts to worship God with us and through Spirit-filled Hands to serve God and His saints with us. If you are interested in learning about the MESSAGE of Gospel of Christ, the MISSION of the Church and the MINISTRY of this Church Body and how you may be a part of this Ministry of Reconciliation, please contact Elder/Teacher David Carden at 713-453-0019 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or you may fellowship with us at any and all of our services and Bible Study meetings.
We are a small Assembly with a big heart. Here you will be welcomed, loved and accepted. We also have lots of ministry opportunities for those wanting a place to serve God under the auspices of the local church's eldership.

OUR LOGO - THE BUTTERFLY
OUR LOGO The butterfly is a symbol of Christ's Resurrection. With its outstretched wings, the butterfly signifies the Cross of Calvary where Jesus, our Substitute, died for our sins. The chrysalis stage of the pupa corresponds to the body of Christ being buried in the grave for "three days and three nights". The pupa bursting the outer covering and emerging as a beautiful butterfly symbolizes not only Christ's resurrection over "death, hell and the grave", but also the believer's.
The Gospel by which one receives eternal life is defined by Paul as the "death, burial and resurrection" of Christ. Eternal life is secured by believing the Gospel through the record (Bible) God has given. (1 Co.15:1-4)
As the Second Adam of the New Creation, Christ became the "firstborn of the church of the living God", the Body of Christ. The butterfly goes through a metamorphosis process. Christ went through a metamorphosis process from the cross to the resurrection when He was raised in a glorified a physical resurrected body. All believers in the "dispensation of grace", being part of the New Creation, will be raised with a resurrected body, too. This transformation began at the moment of entering into the New Creation (salvation) and continues as a lifelong process known as sanctification. Believers become "butterflies" receiving their new bodies at the Rapture of the Body of Christ, the Church. The Church of the Resurrection reflects the metamorphosis process of God's Grace to create new life in helping people discover and grow in the Grace of God.
THE PLACE OF G.R.A.C.E
ITS ALL ABOUT GRACE
The Church of the Resurrection is a Free Grace Assembly implementing her Great Commission under Pauline authority. (2 Cor 5:17-21). In order to effectively fulfill this mandate, we established our "Misson Statement" using an acronym for the word "G.R.A.C.E.". Using the Fivefold Ministries as provided in Ephesians 4:7-11, our goal is to fulfill the five purposes given to the Body of Christ. The purposes are: discipleship (maturity), evangelism (mission), worship (magnification), fellowship (membership), and service (ministry) and are explained below.
We want to assist Believers to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ" increasing their devotion to God and in their understanding of His purpose for their lives. (Eph. 4:13-15)
We want to reach out to all people regardless of color, class or culture and introduce them to the "Gospel(Good News) of God’s Grace in the dispensation of Grace." (Eph. 3:1-9).
A-cknowledging (Magnification-501) [Prophets] We want to encourage Believers to acknowledge God in worship as their Savior and as Head of the Body of Christ, His Church, "builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit, the fulness of Him that fills all in all. (Eph. 3:13 w/1:23; 2:22).C-onnecting (Membership-101)[Evangelists]
We want to help Believers connect in a meaningful Grace relationship with Jesus Christ and with members of His Family, the Church. (Eph 4:16).E-quipping (Ministry-301)[Teachers]
We want to equip Believers in discoving their place of a ministry within the Body of Christ, the Church. (Eph. 4:12).
* Class 101 is required prior to other classes.
